A STORY
OF FAMILY

The Camp-Atthalin estate is a true family estate. The family has been established since the beginning of the 17th century in the town of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, where 13 generations of winegrowers have succeeded over the years.

Building on this heritage, Jean-Philippe and Jean-Edouard Camp took over the estate's plots together in 2017, and brought the family estate back to life. In fact, the vines had been rented to other winegrowers since 1962.

The name Camp-Atthalin is the juxtaposition of the names of their parents Jean Louis Camp and Isabelle Laurent-Atthalin, a mark of respect and attachment to their heritage.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
SOME WINE

The idea we have of vine cultivation is respect for the soil, the plants, the people who work there and those who consume the product of this land.

This involves preserving the environment and living beings. To do this, we only use certified organic and biodynamic inputs; and “small equipment” such as chasers, which have a low carbon footprint and little impact on soil compaction.

Our philosophy is also found during the production of wines with vinification that respects the expression of different terroirs by intervening as little as possible during vinification.

OF THE OWNERS
ROOTED

Both born in Burgundy, we spent our childhood in the Médoc in Pauillac, where our father managed wine estates. We have always wanted to revive the family estate. It was therefore natural that we found ourselves in our native region to continue our studies and get closer to Savigny-lès-Beaune.

JEAN PHILIPPE
CAMP

JEAN-EDOUARD
CAMP

Since 2017, as the buyer of Domaine Camp-Atthalin, Jean Edouard has combined his technical know-how with his rooted vision of wine. Before that, he acquired solid experience as cellar manager for a prestigious wine merchant, while enriching his skills within renowned estates in Burgundy.
